Safety Measures

Typically, all pupils are expected to remain backstage throughout the show and then be prepared to perform the finale together. Due to the prevalence of viruses, we will utilize our post Covid format to mitigate the spread of any illnesses.

Pupils participating only in the first act can sit in the auditorium to watch the second act.

Pupils participating only in the second act may watch the first act and change during the interval.

Pupils involved in multiple dances across both acts must stay backstage until the finale.

These measures will help reduce crowding in the dressing rooms. We have designated seating in the auditorium for the children to watch the show.

All pupils will participate in the finale and are expected to stay until the end. We will treat the finale as a flash mob dance, allowing them to join from the auditorium.

Pre-primary and primary children must be collected at the interval to sit with their parents and watch the remainder of the show.

At the Corn Exchange

Please enter the venue via the rear door located near the George Street car park adjacent to the entrance to what was  Buffet City. The side entrance consists of double green doors usually flanked by green plastic bins. Proceed through the door, ascend the steps on the left which lead to the backstage area. At the top of the stairs is the sign-in/out list. On the day of technical rehearsals, parents will not be allowed beyond this point.

On the show day, parents should wait in the auditorium after each performance. Children will come to the auditorium after changing and tidying the dressing rooms. We will ensure that each child departs with their parent or guardian.

Parents of pre-primary and primary children must collect their child from the Bar area and sign them out.

Dancers in the first act should arrive at least one hour before the start of each show. Those dancing in the second act only should arrive 30 minutes before the start of each show.

Pre-primary and primary children should arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled performance.

The running order will be emailed once finalized.

Valuables should not be kept backstage as the school is not liable for students' belongings. All belongings should be placed in a bag with the pupil's name clearly marked on it.

For security purposes, parents and visitors are NOT permitted backstage. Unauthorized individuals will be asked to leave. Your cooperation is appreciated.
