Classes For Children 7 Years + Watch Them Thrive As A Performer

Ballet

7 + YEARS

Building on the foundations learnt in the early years we now enter students for their RAD graded examinations. All classes are structured and students are encouraged to set personal goals, manage expectations and learn how their muscles work enabling them to achieve the more complex moves. They are  inspired to  develop their own style and work ethic. The examinations are a wonderful way of rewarding them for all their hard work and dedication.

Contemporary

7 + YEARS

Contemporary has grown to become one of the dominant genres for formally trained dancers throughout the world. It combines the strong but controlled legwork of ballet with modern body alignment. It also employs contract-release, floor work, fall and recovery, and the improvisation characteristics of modern dance. Unpredictable changes in rhythm, speed, and direction are often used, as well.

We are very excited that we will be one of the first to experience the brand new Rambert graded syllabus.

Contemporary 2 - Monday 6.15 - 7.00 p.m.

Junior Virtuosity

7 + YEARS

This is a delightful non-syllabus class for students from grade 2 upwards where your child will learn about different choreographers, have a gentle stretch and improve their improvisation skills. They also have fun exploring choreography and challenge themselves to perfect virtuoso allegro and turning steps. There is lots of opportunity to work as a solo, duet or  in groups to improve their communication skills. I don't know how we fit it all in!

Tuesday 4.00 - 4.45 p.m.
